SMS Terms

Last updated: June 25, 2026Applies to Canada customers

These SMS Terms describe the text-messaging program operated through Referral Booster ("Referral Booster", "we", "us") and apply to Canada. Referral Booster sends text messages on behalf of the home-service business you did work with (the "Business"). Part A is for message recipients; Part B sets out the obligations of Businesses that use Referral Booster to send messages.

Part A, For message recipients

Program description

If you are a customer of a Business that uses Referral Booster, you may receive recurring text messages relating to that Business’s referral program, for example, an invitation to refer a friend for a reward, confirmations, and reward or payout notifications. Messages are sent by Referral Boosteron the Business’s behalf, and each message identifies the Business.

How you are enrolled and consent

You receive these messages because you gave the Business your express consent to be contacted by text (for example, after a completed job or by replying with a keyword such as YES), as required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of any purchase. Every message identifies the sender and includes a way to unsubscribe.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your activity and the Business’s program.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, according to the plan you have with your mobile carrier.

How to opt out, reply STOP

You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive further program messages unless you opt in again. You may also reply with other standard opt-out keywords supported by carriers (such as END, QUIT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE).

How to get help, reply HELP

For help, reply HELP to any message, or email hello@referralbooster.ca.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change without notice.

Privacy

Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in information is used only to operate the messaging program described here.

Part B, For Businesses that send messages with Referral Booster

If you use Referral Booster to message your customers, you are responsible for the legality of those messages and you agree that you will:

You are the party responsible for your messaging and for obtaining consent. Referral Booster acts as your service provider and is not your legal advisor. Because Referral Booster and its providers are directly accountable to the carriers, we may throttle, suspend, or terminate messaging that we reasonably believe violates these SMS Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, applicable law, or carrier requirements. You agree to indemnify us for claims arising from your messaging, as set out in our Terms of Service.
